Why Are Truckers Threatening to ‘Shut Down Washington, D.C.’ for Three Days Straight?

A group of truckers is reportedly planning to shut Washington, D.C. down for three days straight starting on Oct. 11 to protest the “corruption against the Constitution.”

The “Truckers To Shut Down America” Facebook page has more than 16,000 likes, though it is unclear how many truckers actually intend on taking part in the disruptive protest.

“The American people are sick and tired of the corruption that is destroying America! We therefore declare a GENERAL STRIKE on the weekend of October 11-13, 2013! Truck drivers will not haul freight! Americans can strike in solidarity with truck drivers!” the group’s description reads.

In a YouTube video uploaded by user “Kevin Allan” and linked on the “Truckers To Shut Down America” Facebook page, the event is labeled as a general “strike” by the American people against the federal government and its “bulls**t.”

The narrator in the video says he has received word from others that “truckers are organizing and are going to shut down D.C.” Watch the video below (Warning: Some strong language):

It is too early to tell if the “strike” will be successful, but “shutting down” the nation’s capitol would certainly have a huge impact whether you agree or disagree with the tactic.

The Facebook page provides some additional information on the motive behind the action, which ranges from Obamacare to the IRS scandal to Benghazi:

My fellow patriot this effort is to support the truckers in a major shut down of America ion [sic] a 3 day strike October 11th thru 13th. Obamacare will be in effect and most people will be ready to take action. No commerce on those days stock up on items that you will need. No banking no shopping no money transactions.

It does not matter if a million or 50 roll through DC in this effort. Congress will listen to We the People. Which is remove Obama from office for crimes of treason and misdemeanors. We want Congressional hearing on Benghazi and Seal Team 6. Louis Learner [sic] put in jail. No amnesty, remove all Muslims in our government that do not uphold the Constitution. Remove Eric Holder from office for crimes against the people and the Constitution. Last but not least is Fuel prices.

He was soon asked to pray over three dead bodies. As he began to take in the activity around the area, his curiosity was first struck by the sight of the craft itself.

Expecting a small plane of some type, he was shocked to see that the craft was disc-shaped, and upon looking inside he saw hieroglyphic-like symbols, indecipherable to him.

He then was shown the three victims, not human as expected, but small alien bodies with large eyes, hardly a mouth or ears, and hairless.

Immediately after performing his duties, he was sworn to secrecy by military personnel who had taken charge of the crash area. He witnessed these warnings being given to others at the scene also.

As he arrived back at his home at 1530 Main Street, he was still in a state of mild shock, and could not keep his story from his wife Floy, and his sons. This late night family discussion would spawn the story that Charlette Mann would hear from her grandmother in 1984, as she lay dying of cancer at Charlette’s home while undergoing radiation therapy.

military intervention As her grandmother tolerated her last few days on this Earth, Charlette knew it was now or never to find out everything she could before this intriguing story was lost with the death of her grandmother.

She also learned that one of the members of her grandfather’s congregation, thought to be Garland D. Fronabarger, had given him a photograph taken on the night of the crash. This picture was of one of the dead aliens being help up by two men.

Charlette Mann gave, in her own words, an account of what she knew for a television documentary. Some of that account is given here:

“I saw the picture originally from my dad who had gotten it from my grandfather who was a Baptist minister in Cape Girardeau Missouri in the Spring of ‘41. I saw that [picture] and asked my grandmother at a later time she was at my home fatally ill with cancer so we had a frank discussion.

“She said that grandfather was called out in the spring of 1941 in the evening around 9:00-9:30, that someone had been called out to a plane crash outside of town and would he be willing to go to minister to people there which he did.”

“Upon arrival it was a very different situation. It was not a conventional aircraft, as we know it. He described it as a saucer that was metallic in color, no seams, did not look like anything he had seen. It had been broken open in one portion, and so he could walk up and see that.

“In looking in he saw a small metal chair, gauges and dials and things he had never seen. However, what impressed him most was around the inside there were inscriptions and writings, which he said he did not recognize, but were similar to Egyptian hieroglyphics.”

“There were 3 entities, or non-human people, lying on the ground. Two were just outside the saucer, and a third one was further out. His understanding was that perhaps that third one was not dead on impact. There had been mention of a ball of fire, yet there was fire around the crash site, but none of the entities had been burned and so father did pray over them, giving them last rites.

“There were many people there, fire people, photographers, and so they lifted up one, and two men on either side stood him up and they stretched his arms out, they had him up under the armpits and out here.

As I recall from the picture I saw, he was about 4 feet tall, appeared to have no bone structure, soft looking. He had a suit on, or we assume it was a suit, it could have been his skin, and what looked like crinkled, soft aluminum foil. I recall it had very long hands, very long fingers, and I think there were three but I cannot swear to that.”

“My grandfather upon arrival, said there were already several people there on the scene, two that he assumed were local photographers, fire people, and so not long after they arrived, military just showed up, surrounded the area, took them off in groups separately, and spoke to each of them.

“Grandfather didn’t know what was said to the others, but he was told ‘this didn’t happen, you didn’t see this, this is national security, it is never to be talked about again.’

“My grandfather was an honorable man, being a preacher, that’s all that needed to be said to him. And so he came home and told the story to my dad, who was there, and my grandmother and my uncle. Now my mother was expecting at the time, so she was off in the bedroom.”

“My sister was born May 3, 1941, so we are assuming this was the middle to the last of April. And he never spoke of it again. But about two weeks later, one of the men who had a personal camera that he had put in his shirt pocket, approached grandfather and said I think someone needs a copy of this.

“I have one and I would like you to keep one. So that’s how it came about that grandfather had the picture to begin with. But he never spoke of it again. The other people seem to be very intimidated and very frightened and paranoid.”

Other living supporting witnesses include Charlette Mann’s sister who confirmed her story in a notarized sworn affidavit, and the living brother of the Cape Girardeau County sheriff in 1941, Clarance R. Schade. He does remember hearing the account of the crash, yet does not have many details. He does recall hearing of a “spaceship with little people.”

Depiction of alien There are also Fire Department records of the date of the crash. This information does confirm the military swearing department members to secrecy, and also the removal of all evidence from the scene by military personnel.

Guy Huffman, Charlette’s father also told the story of the crash, and had in his possession the photograph of the dead alien. He showed the picture to a photographer friend of his, Walter Wayne Fisk.

He has been contacted by Stanton Friedman, but would not release any pertinent information.

Charlette had no luck in getting Fish to return calls or answer letters. It has been rumored that Fisk was an advisor to the President, and if this was the case, would account for his silence on the facts of the Missouri crash.

This case ends like many others, but appears by all indications to be authentic. All who have come in contact with Charlette Mann found her to be a trustworthy person who is not given to sensationalism, and has sought no gain from her account.

There is still research being done on the Missouri crash, and hopefully more information will be forthcoming to validate this remarkable case.

ADDENDUM: 02-18-04 – Local UFO probe Researcher seeks answers to report of crash in 1941 

By Peggy O’Farrel, Southeast MissourianA Virginia man is investigating the possibility that a UFO crashed near Cape Girardeau in 1941. “That would be six years before Roswell,” said James Westwood of Centreville, Va., referring to the 1947 incident in which the government allegedly recovered and then covered up a UFO crash in New Mexico.

“That would put Cape Girardeau County on the UFO map,” he said.

Southeast Missouri already is known for UFO activity. Dr. Harley Rutledge, a former chairman of the physics department at Southeast Missouri State University who is now retired, has investigated reports of strange sights seen flying through the skies near Piedmont and other UFO reports.

“Project Identification: The First Scientific Field Study of UFO Phenomena,” outlines Rutledge’s research.

Westwood said Rutledge told him he has not heard of the 1941 incident. Westwood, a retired Navy man and engineer, is looking for people who may remember an incident from 1941 when some type of aircraft reportedly crashed approximately 3 to 15 miles outside Cape Girardeau.

Westwood bases his investigation on an account by Charlotte Mann, a Texas woman whose grandfather, the Rev. William Huffman, was the pastor of Red Star Baptist Church from 1941 to 1944.

Leonard H. Stringifield, a renowned UFO investigator, recounted Mann’s story in the July 1991 issue of his “Status Report,” a monthly publication on UFO activities and investigations.

Mann told Stringfield her grandfather got a call one spring night from police asking him to accompany them to the site of an airplane crash outside town in case the victims needed a clergyman.

“A car was sent to get him, but grandmother said it wasn’t a police car,” Mann said in Stingfield’s recounting of the story.

“When Huffman got to the crash scene, Mann said, he noticed one piece of the wreckage that appeared to have a rounded shape with no edges or seams,” and a “very shiny, metallic finish.”

“Police officers, plainclothes men, and military officers were already at the scene sifting through the wreckage, Mann said. Laid to one side of the scene were “three bodies, not human,” she recounted.

“It was hard for him to tell if they had on suits or if it was their skin, but they were covered head to foot in what looked like wrinkled aluminum foil,” Mann said.

“He could see no hair on their bodies and they had no ears. They were small framed like a child, about 4 feet tall, but had larger heads and longer arms.”

Their faces had large, oval-shaped eyes, no noses, just holes and no lips, just small slits for mouths,” Mann said.

Huffman was told by one of the military officers at the scene not to tell anyone what he had witnessed for security reasons, Mann told Stringfield. Huffman told his wife, Floy, and their two sons what he had seen when he returned home from the crash site, but never spoke of it again, said Mann.

Huffman died in 1959. His wife, who died in 1984, told Mann the story. A few weeks after the crash, Huffman was apparently given a photo of two men holding one of the corpses found at the scene. Mann’s father loaned the photo to a friend but never saw it again.

Now Westwood, who read Mann’s account in Stringfield’s publication, is looking for others who may remember hearing about the crash. “What you need here is another source, at least one other person who says, I sort of remember this,” Westwood said.

“Even if it’s a second-hand account, you’ve at least got another source.”

“Mann’s account says the crash happened in the spring. Westwood speculates it may actually have happened in the fall because of the mention of a field fire caused by the crash. In the spring, he reasons, vegetation would have been too wet to burn easily. “But in the fall, it’s very dry,” he said.

He also speculates the military officers on the scene may have been called in from an Army Air Corps base in Sikeston at the time. If the crash happened, the military and police wouldn’t have known what they were looking at, Westwood said, because Roswell and the other early UFO sightings hadn’t happened.

And the incident may have been covered up for military security reasons since the U.S. was gearing up for World War II, he said.

“It wouldn’t be implausible” for the incident to have been reported as an airplane crash,” Westwood said.

Westwood began researching Mann’s story at the beginning of the year. He has been in Cape Girardeau for the last week reviewing local records and looking for potential sources. He hasn’t had much luck. So far no one he has talked to has admitted to knowing anything.

“There isn’t anything that I would consider even close,” Westwood said.

He found a report of a student pilot’s airplane crash near Morley in Scott County in May 1941, and a local pilot told him about another crash near Oak Ridge that happened in spring 1941.

The other problem is the Huffmans left the area not long after the alleged crash. The Cape Girardeau city directory lists the Huffmans from 1942 to 1944, but they aren’t listed in the 1945 directory.

Records from the Southeast Missourian say Huffman became the pastor of the church in September 1941.

And Stringfield, who investigated hundreds of reports of UFO crashes and retrievals, died in 1994. His family has refused to release his files to other researchers.

Westwood says he has never seen a UFO or been in contact with extraterrestrials.

“There’s no doubt in my mind that UFOs are real flying objects from outer space,” he said. He points to similarities in thousands of sightings and reports from people who have reported having contact with extraterrestrials as evidence that something is out there.”

But what he calls the “cultism” surrounding the study of UFOs and false reports by attention-seeking hysterics detracts from evidence given by witnesses or people who claim contact, Westwood says, “aren’t any crazier than anybody else.”

Tracing UFO reports is “an interesting kind of detective story,” Westwood said.

“It’s a Sherlock Holmes kind of thing in which you have to sort through a lot of BS looking for those nuggets.

“In the end, some of the things fit, and some things don’t.”

The Roswell crash and recovery isn’t the only UFO crash in the annals of the study of UFOs, Westwood said. “It’s just the best known,” he said.

Poland confiscates half of citizens’ pensions

Attempt to delay European nation’s looming debt crisis

NEW YORK – Quietly, as the looming possibility of a U.S. military attack on Syria dominated news internationally, the government of Poland announced a decision to confiscate half of the nation’s pension funds in an attempt to delay an impending government debt crisis.

While details remain hazy, Reuters reported Sept. 4 that Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced a government decision to transfer to ZUS, the government pension system, all bond investments in privately owned pension funds within the state-guaranteed system.

 

For now, private pensions in Poland will be allowed to keep equity investments that in the Polish state-guaranteed pension system tend to be approximately half of all private pension investments.

Polish Finance Minister Jacek Rostowski said the change will reduce Polish national debt about 8 percent of Polish Gross Domestic Product, or GDP, a move that allows the Polish government to resume another round of aggressive debt creation by borrowing in international markets, as reported by ZeroHedge.com.

By confiscating, or otherwise “nationalizing” the bonds held private retirement accounts of Polish citizens, the government – with public debt currently standing at approximately 52.7 percent of GDP – circumvents two threshold restrictions that deter the government from allowing debt to rise to over 50 percent of GDP, followed by a second deterrence that kicks in when national debt hits 55 percent of GDP.

Reuters reported that by shifting bonds held in private retirement accounts into ZUS, the government can book those assets on the state balance sheet to offset public debt, giving the government more scope to borrow and spend.

As is the case with other nations in the European Union, Poland, faced with slowing economic growth, a grim job situation and declining tax revenues, has been forced to borrow to maintain the nation’s large social welfare system without imposing austerity measures.

International private investment advisers reacted with shock and dismay.

The reform is “a decimation of the [private pension fund] system to open up fiscal space for an easier life now for the government,” Peter Attard Montalto of Nomura Securities told Reuters. “The government has an odd definition of private property given its claims this is not nationalization.”

Private retirement accounts in Poland hold assets worth about 20 percent of Polish economic output and are among the biggest investors on the Warsaw bourse.

How the move will affect many international investment firms remains uncertain, but the Polish private pension market includes many well known firms such as ING, Aviva, Axa, Generali and Allianz.

Reuters further reported Polish government officials have tried to reinsure private retirement investors, saying the overhaul avoids the more radical options of taking both bond and equity assets away from the private retirement founds outright, in a more comprehensive government confiscation.

Poland’s private pension until now has been a hybrid system in which mandatory contributions that are made into both the state pension vehicle, ZUS, and the private funds that are collectively known by the Polish acronym OFE.

Although Poland is in the EU, it continues to utilize the zloty as the national currency, not the Euro.

Poland’s move follows a similar move by the Mediterranean island-nation of Cyprus in March when the government confiscated 10 percent of all bank accounts. Cyprus sought to raise 6 billion euros to meet a condition set by international bankers, including the International Monetary Fund, or IMF, as a condition of finalizing a proposed Eurozone bail-out.

In November 2012, WND reported the Obama administration was exploring a creative way to finance continuing trillion-dollar annual federal budget deficits by forcing private citizens holding IRA and 401(k) accounts to buy Treasury bonds.

WND report two years earlier that the U.S. Department of Labor and the Treasury Department held joint hearings on whether government lifetime annuity options funded by U.S. Treasury debt should be required for private retirement accounts, including IRAs and 401(k) plans.

Noted Polling Firm: We Shelved Poll Predicting Recall Loss for Anti-Gun Colorado Senator

Public Policy Polling, a noted and widely-followed polling firm, said Wednesday it made a “rare decision” last week to not release poll data predicating anti-gun Colorado state Senator Angela Giron would lose her recall election.

“We did a poll last weekend in Colorado Senate District 3 and found that voters intended to recall Angela Giron by a 12 point margin, 54/42,” director Tom Jensen wrote on the firm’s blog.

“In a district that Barack Obama won by almost 20 points I figured there was no way that could be right,” Jensen added. “It turns out we should have had more faith in our numbers becaue [sic] she was indeed recalled by 12 points.”

Colorado voters decided Tuesday evening to recall both Giron and Democratic Senate President John Morse after their support for stricter gun control laws earlier this year.

But that’s not to say the firm doubted all of its polling data. Jensen said PPP “didn’t find the gun control measures that drove the recall election to be that unpopular.”

In short, PPP believes Giron must have lost for a reason other than gun control because Colorado’s new laws aren’t that unpopular.

“Expanded background checks for gun buyers had 68/27 support among voters in the district, reflecting the overwhelming popularity for that we’ve found across the country,” Jensen wrote. “And voters were evenly divided on the law limiting high capacity ammunition magazines to 15 bullets, with 47 percent supporting and 47 percent opposing it.”

He said those numbers don’t square with Giron being recalled by a 12-point margin.

And here’s another interesting bit of information presented by PPP: voters in Giron’s district have a favorable opinion of the National Rifle Association by a 53/33 margin.

Jensen went on to argue that the NRA helped defeat Giron by making it about gun rights as a whole and not about the “pretty unobtrusive” anti-gun laws she helped pass.

The NRA “won the messaging game and turned it into something bigger than it was — even if that wasn’t true — and Giron paid the price,” he said.

A spokesperson for PPP didn’t immediately return TheBlaze’s request for comment.

Looks Like the ‘Million Muslim March’ May Only Attract a Few Hundred Participants

 

It looks as though the controversial “Million Muslim March” set for the September 11 anniversary in Washington, D.C. may fall well short of a crowd numbering in the seven figure range.

Even the Huffington Post has all but written it off: “‘Million Muslim March’ Shaping Up To Be More Like A Few Hundred People Walking Down The Street.”

Turns out a memo delivered to tenants of a downtown D.C. office building said to expect “somewhere in the hundreds, not thousands, of participants,” according to police estimates, the Weekly Standard reports.

The rally also has been renamed “Million American March Against Fear” and is set to commence at noon Wednesday.

The American Muslim Political Action Committee (AMPAC) which organized the rally is led by M.D. Rabbi Alam, a 9/11 truther who has propagated anti-Semitic causes related to the terrorist attacks 12 years ago.

In addition, the Huffington Post notes, the DC Area 9/11 Truth Movement and Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth Movement are currently listed as partners of the event — all of which, in addition to the chosen date of the march, has reportedly upset many observers.

Organizers have defended the timing, however, noting that “Muslim[s] and Non Muslim[s] alike were traumatized” on Sept. 11, 2001. AMPAC adds that the march is about civil rights, indefinite detention and countering inaccurate depictions of Islam and Muslims.

This Is What Happens When Citizens Get Fed Up Over Speed Cameras

Citizens across the country have grumbled about speed cameras, but someone in Wicomico County, Maryland appears to be making a physical — and political — point.

A photo posted on the blog SBY News shows a traffic camera that’s been spray-painted over the lens and tagged with the year 1776, the year the U.S. declared independence.

“Good for them!” blog publisher Joe Albero wrote.

Some commenting on the post seem to agree. Here are a few:

  • Everytime I drive past one, I secretly wish someone would do that. I would gladly donate to their bail if they get caught.

  • I love it then the top it off 1776 nice touch

  • Next, surveillance cameras for the surveillance cameras.

But others noted that this would be considered vandalism and disagreed with the destruction of the cameras, which take photos of license plates that get mailed with citations to offending drivers.

“Good for them? This is VANDALISM. Drive the speed limit and stop with the ‘patriot’ hogwash. This is criminal behavior, and it should be punished,” one commenter wrote.

According to WBOC-TV, speed cameras in Wicomico County raked in $40,000 for the police department last year, funding computers, a K-9 unit and uniforms.

This isn’t the only location in Maryland where speed cameras have come under attack. In Tacoma Park, a camera that issued more than 1,000 tickets in less than three months was spray painted black last month, WJLA-TV reported.

“We hate them! And this camera taking a hundred dollars here and a hundred dollars there. Money coming out and not coming in! We are gonna feel it — everybody feels it!” David McKenzie of Hyattsville told the news station.

Speed and red light cameras have spurred controversy all over the country, but Maryland specifically seems to have had some serious issues with them.

Last year, a lawmaker in the state suggested that if drivers could be fined for breaking the law, the speed camera company should be fined as well when it issues “bogus” tickets. At the time, at least five of Baltimore County’s 83 cameras were found to have problems.

In Charles County, nearly 3,400 drivers who paid traffic tickets because of the cameras that were later deemed illegal are now being issued refunds.

The city of Westminster ended up canceling its camera program after it found operating the system was costing the taxpayers money, not even breaking even.

Nun in Syria Claims She Has ‘Evidence’ Proving Video Footage of Chemical Attack Was Fabricated

A nun in Qara, Syria, claims she has “evidence” proving video footage of the deadly chemical attack in Syria was fabricated. Mother Agnes Mariam el-Salib, mother superior of St. James Monastery, told Russia Today that she plans to submit her findings to the United Nations Human Rights Commission.

Before we go any further, it must be noted that RT is widely considered to be the media mouthpiece of Russian President Vladimir Putin and his regime. Given the political differences in the Syria conflict between the U.S. and Russia, as well as the numerous conspiracy theories surrounding the chemical attack, it’s hard to know what to discount and what to take seriously.

Yet, here we have an unlikely story that may get some attention in the news – but can anyone really trust Russia Today? Assuming the outlet didn’t alter the nun’s quotes in any way, let’s start by examining exactly what she told RT.

Mother Agnes, a catholic nun who has lived in Syria for 20 years, says she has “carefully studied the footage” of the chemical attack in Syria and plans to “present a written analysis on it a bit later.” She claims the “whole affair was a frame-up” and “prepared in advance with the goal of framing the Syrian government as the perpetrator.”

Here’s what she considers to be “key evidence” in her research:

The key evidence is that Reuters made these files public at 6.05 in the morning. The chemical attack is said to have been launched between 3 and 5 o’clock in the morning in Guta. How is it even possible to collect a dozen different pieces of footage, get more than 200 kids and 300 young people together in one place, give them first aid and interview them on camera, and all that in less than three hours? Is that realistic at all? As someone who works in the news industry, you know how long all of it would take.

The bodies of children and teenagers we see in that footage – who were they? What happened to them? Were they killed for real? And how could that happen ahead of the gas attack? Or, if they were not killed, where did they come from? Where are their parents? How come we don’t see any female bodies among all those supposedly dead children?

I am not saying that no chemical agent was used in the area – it certainly was. But I insist that the footage that is now being peddled as evidence had been fabricated in advance. I have studied it meticulously, and I will submit my report to the UN Human Rights Commission based in Geneva.

Not exactly bombshell “evidence” — though she claims there will be more facts included in her UN report.

Later in the interview, Mother Agnes praised Russia, China and India for standing against intervention in Syria. She also said “the international community and Syria’s friends should join forces and say: Enough!”

“Everyone has spoken their mind, but the US prefers to turn a deaf ear,” she added. “The world public opinion has turned against the US. It’s the first time in history that America is alone. They are claiming that they are backed by ten countries. But I insist they aren’t, because the people of these countries disagree with their governments. Even the American people disagree with their government.”

Responding to her critics who are trying to “discredit” her, the nun admitted there is a book “coming out soon in France that labels me as a criminal who kills people.” It is an allegation that she denies.

Earlier on Friday, TheBlaze reported on claims that the Syrian government has dispatched reinforcements to a predominantly Christian village north of Damascus where rebels have clashed with regime troops this week.

In that report, a nun also spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity and discussed the persecution Christians are facing in the war-torn nation. It is perhaps noteworthy that some Christians apparently feel that life under the Assad regime is more favorable than a takeover by the Islamist rebels.

Worse idea: holding up a store clerk who is not only proficient in firearms, but who also happens to be an Iraq war veteran and a former prison guard and private investigator.

Jon Lewis Alexander, 54, is no ordinary store clerk. He has worked several “high risk” jobs and served four tours of duty in Iraq during his 30 years in the U.S. military.

And his training shows.

Video surveillance from Saturday night captures the moment a would-be thief entered the Marionville, Mo., store where Alexander works. The thief hesitates for a moment and pulls a gun — but not fast enough to dissuade Alexander from pulling his own Walther PPX 9 mm handgun and sticking it in the hapless thief’s mouth.

No one was hurt and no shots were fired.

“One of the policemen told me later, ‘You’re a lucky man,’” Alexander told News-Leader.com Monday. “I said, ‘I think he (the robber) is a little luckier than I am.’ ”

Alexander said the man walked in smoking a cigarette, which he was promptly told to put out. The thief then reached for his gun and demanded “all the (expletive deleted) money,” News-Leader.com reports.

The veteran reacted quickly, throwing down the thief’s arm. Alexander then drew his own weapon and, according to the report, threatened to “blow his (expletive deleted) head off.”

Pistol at his side, the thief backed away slowly and then bolted from the store. The store clerk remembers being amused by the fact that he “didn’t even bother holstering his weapon.”

Dawson fully supports Alexander’s handling of the situation, saying “I think it’s a great thing.”

Meanwhile, the store clerk explains that he never fired a shot because the thief’s weapon was never pointed directly at him.

“If I had seen the actual barrel of the gun, I would have pulled the trigger,” he said. “My life wasn’t threatened.”

He adds that he didn’t immediately tell his wife, Pam, about the incident because he didn’t want to upset her. However, she eventually saw a copy of the surveillance footage.

“It took her a while to calm down,” he said. “But I got all kinds of lovin’ when she came home.”

The store’s owners have since turned the video over to the police. Law enforcement officials have not yet caught the suspect but they hope for a quick arrest.

German Police Raid Controversial Christian Sect and Seize 40 Children

BERLIN (TheBlaze/AP) — Police raided a Christian sect in southern Germany and took 40 children from it on allegations they were being physically abused, authorities said Friday.

Bavarian police said the children of the so-called “Twelve Tribes” sect were taken into protective custody the day before as investigators look into allegations that they were being beaten and otherwise physically punished.

About 100 police were involved in the raids, which took place at two separate locations.

Authorities say 28 of the children were found at one of the sect’s locations in the area of the town of Deinigen, and 12 others in the Woernitz area.

The sect said in a statement on its website that the children were aged 1 ½ to 17 and that they would remain with foster parents at least until a court hearing on Sep. 11. Here’s more about what the Twelve Tribes claims unfolded:

The Nördlingen district court issued a preliminary order for the temporary withdrawal of custody based on the her perception of a very high immediate risk to the mental well-being of children. The only legal facts in this decision, however, are that the parents of the children are part of the faith of the Twelve Tribes. Where is the legal basis here?  People cannot be found guilty based on their association with a religious faith.  Will we be treated differently than any other citizen simply because of our beliefs? […]

Obviously, the court saw it as irrelevant to first get an accurate picture of the children and their well-being. The court’s decision came without any warning.  The police and the youth welfare office presented us with a fait accompli, and all their “facts” pre-arranged.  A previous visit to the judge never took place.

Still, in a description of the U.S.-founded sect’s beliefs, the group said its members believe in spanking their children though “we know that some people consider this aspect of our life controversial.”

“We love our children and consider them precious and wonderful — because we love them we do spank them…” the group said. “When they are disobedient or intentionally hurtful to others we spank them with a small reed-like rod, which only inflicts pain and not damage.”

Despite the denial, local police claim they have “new evidence pointing to significant and ongoing child abuse by the members,” the Telegraph reports. The alleged abuses were said to be both physical and emotional.

The sect, founded by Gene Spriggs (now known as Yoneq), a Tennessee high school teacher, in the 1970s, today has about 2,000 to 3,000 members worldwide, according to its website. Some critics have dismissed the group as a cult, but its members obviously deny this accusation.

The Twelve Tribes’ website has more about the theology held by its members. In a FAQ section, the religious group explains, “While we are, from time to time, called a cult, we are not false, unorthodox, or extremist.”

They have previously had problems in Germany for violating laws on homeschooling their children. UPI reports that the police have been observing the group’s educational patterns, noting that some of the children have not been sent to school; the sect’s own school has also apparently lost its teaching licenses.

This story comes after Dirk and Petra Wunderlich, a German homeschooling family, saw their home raided and their children taken away by German authorities last week.

The group’s practices have run afoul of the law in the U.S. as well, including in 2000 in Connecticut where a couple belonging to the group pleaded guilty to third-degree assault and cruelty for disciplining their children with a 30-inch (76-centimeter) fiberglass rod.

In 1984, authorities raided the group in Vermont and removed 112 children on abuse allegations. A judge later ruled the raid illegal and returned the children to their parents.

WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A CONSTITUTIONAL REPUBLIC AND A DEMOCRACY

It’s unfortunate that many Americans do not know their nation’s history, their Founding Documents, or the extent of their intrinsic rights.  Many, if not most, people believe America is a Democracy and know nothing about our Constitutional Republic form of government.  The differences may be subtle, but the consequences are major. 

The United States Constitution, given to us by the Founders, was intended to be a contract between the Founders and We, the People.  It is NOT, and never has been an agreement between that Document and the ruling elite, the federal government.  Nowhere, within the Constitution, is the word “democracy” used, yet even those who should know better continue to mistakenly refer to our form of government as a Democracy.  Is that purposeful and to some nefarious end?  Who knows, but I suspect that those who should know better, do know better!  The Founders understood that Democracy is a dangerous form of government in that it grants the balance of power to the central government and not to the People.  By design, a Democracy is open to unbridled corruption, oppression of the people, and it is always the stepping-off point to socialism, communism, or any other kind of “ism” there is.  The fact that there is so little outrage over such widespread government corruption reflects that when a people see themselves without options, they accept what they otherwise would not tolerate. 

Our Founders gave us a set of principles, guidelines, and responsibilities by which we are to live if we wish to remain free. Those principles give full authority to We, the People and none to the government to the extent it has become today.  Our US Constitution tells Americans that it is our duty to remove and replace those representatives who do not stand for the principles and guidelines the Founders provided.   Furthermore, We, the People, are held accountable for the well-being of our own freedom, and we are the watchdogs and caretakers of freedom’s future.  Not only are we responsible for the freedom of future generations, we owe a great deal to all those who have given their lives in the fight  for liberty then and now.  President Abraham Lincoln, in his Gettysburg Address, said; “Four score and seven years ago our fathers brought forth on this continent, a new nation, conceived in Liberty, and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal. . . (and) to the unfinished work which they who . . . gave the last full measure of devotion .  . . we here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain — that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom — and that government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.”  

Lincoln pointed out a truism that is timeless.  Americans have, and will continue to give, their lives in the name of freedom.  When Americans turn a blind eye to that truth, when they disregard the fact that freedom has a cost, and when they mock respect for US soldiers, past and present, they are, at the same time, spitting on the graves of those who gave their lives for the freedom all enjoy today!

The Founders also gave us a process by which to add, remove, or change Amendments, within the Constitution, when and if the People ever see fit.  That process was not given to the government, and the government is not legally entitled to circumvent the Constitution whenever it pleases.  They gave us three branches of government to act as checks and balances so that one branch does not become more powerful than the others.   Today, the Executive Branch operates, on its own, regardless of the principles and guidelines the Founders gave us and which were and are meant to hold the leaders accountable.  Just remember that it is the People who have the authority, as well as the responsibility to throw off tyranny and oppression.  This Administration will not stop of its own volition until it has complete control and has achieved the “fundamental transformation of America.” 

In essence, the United States Constitution, is being shredded by this Administration’s illegal Executive Orders, the removal of America’s right to due process, and the extermination of American citizens without proof of guilt.  None of these action are about national security.  It is about national control.

GOTCHA! Both the above video, and Biden’s quote are 100% accurate, with the exception of replacing the word “Iran” with “…,” which would be replaced with “Syria,” if Biden had a conscience.  The year was 2007, and Buffoon Biden was playing hardball with then Republican President George Bush over the invented belief that Bush would use the military to attack Iran without congressional approval, which is required by the U.S. Constitution. Biden was right!

Well, that was then, and this is now, and the U.S. Constitution doesn’t mean the same thing that it formerly did prior to the christening of dear leader. The War Powers Act has been redefined, and Biden’s been completely silent on the issue, as far as I can tell. Marxist globalist Obama seeks his approval from the corrupt, America-hating UN, while giving Congress, the Constitution, and the American people the middle finger.
